Weaving Our Own Rugs
No one else has rugs like ours... Because at Landry & Arcari, we design and weave our own original rugs, carrying out every step from dyeing the wool to importing the carpets.
This enables us to offer top quality in unique and custom designs while maintaining reasonable prices.
Exclusively Ours
Several years ago Jeffrey Arcari began our weaving projects in India and Pakistan.
Dedicated to recreating new rugs with the integrity and appeal of antiques, we use only traditional materials and ancestral methods: hand-spun wool and natural vegetal dyes.
Our rugs are woven on our looms exclusively for us. Photos from our productions depict the entire rug-making process in the "How Rugs Are Made" section.
Custom Rugs Made Just for You
In response to requests for custom rugs as well as the less-traditional designs and colors in demand by interior designers today, we recently began producing rugs in Nepal. You can make up your own design or have us create one for you. Choose your own colors, size and materials. In 3-6 months you will have the rug of your dreams! Building Schools & Hospitals for Our Weaving Communities
We are proud to offer work and a meaningful opportunity for advancement to the families involved in our weaving projects. In rug-making regions, weaving is a sought-after occupation as it is much less demanding than farming, the predominant source of income.
Landry & Arcari has donated approximately half the cost of building a new school for our Indian weaving community. (The other half has been donated by The Barakat Society, a non-profit group.)
