Introducing the Soft Melody rug from our "Elements" collection, a contemporary design that showcases a blend of tradition, craftsmanship, and innovation. This rug originates from India, specifically in and around the city of Agra. Handwoven by skilled artisans in their homes, these rugs embody centuries-old practices passed down through generations.

The Soft Melody rug is crafted using a luxurious blend of imported, long-staple New Zealand wool, which constitutes 50-75% of the material, and either superior local wool or South African wool. This combination enhances the rug's luster, surpassing those made solely from local wools. The imported New Zealand wool is carefully hand-carded and hand-spun into yarn in the surrounding regions of Agra, ensuring a sustainable local economy.

Notably, this rug features a unique single-ply yarn characteristic. Unlike the more common two-ply yarns, each knot incorporates a single thread. This results in a thicker, denser yarn with pronounced knots, contributing to a distinctive tactile and visual texture. The asymmetrical Persian-type knot further enhances the rug's density, creating a nubby appearance that adds to its appeal.

The Soft Melody rug is renowned for its 6x6 quality, a testament to the intricate craftsmanship involved. This density adds robustness and enhances the clarity of the intricate design.

Constructed with a 100% wool pile and a cotton foundation, this rug is tightly spun with cotton warps. It is mostly double-wefted and boasts a pile height of approximately 3/8 inch. The handspun nature of the yarn introduces subtle color variations, enriching each rug with a unique aesthetic achieved through artisanal dyeing techniques.

To ensure longevity, the Soft Melody rug is colored using chromium (or chrome) dyes. These dyes resist fading and maintain vibrancy over time, unlike rugs using inferior synthetic dyes. The high-quality chromium dyes, primarily imported from Switzerland, are applied in India, combining international and local resources.

Measuring at 8'1" x 10'4", the Soft Melody rug presents an exquisite combination of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design.

3 Day Money Back Guarantee and Return Policy for Handwoven Rugs

At Landry & Arcari, we hope to help you find the perfect rug for your home, which is why we give you a chance to view any handmade rug in your home for three days. If you decide the rug is not for you, you may return it within three days for a refund, less return shipping charges. The following conditions apply: 

• The three-day return period begins upon delivery of the rug to the shipping address you provided.   

• Returns after three days are considered exchanges and are valid for a merchandise credit only.  

• Exchanges are up to 30 Days. After 30 days, your sale is final.  

• All Customers are responsible for return shipping and insurance charges. Customers outside the Continental US will also be responsible for any local duty and vat charges.   

• The item must be unused and in the same condition as received to be eligible for a refund or exchange. 

• Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you of your return approval or rejection. If approved, we will include a copy of your refund.   

• To return your rug, you will need to properly wrap and secure it in the original wrapping. If you require new wrapping, don't hesitate to contact us. 

• THIS POLICY DOES NOT APPLY to custom ordered rugs, carpet and carpet area rugs, custom rug fabrication and alterations of any kind, rug & carpeting pads, wholesale, or trade accounts.

All carpet sales are final (after we review your order)

Each carpet area rug is made-to-order, which is why all carpet sales are final. However, once you place your order, we will contact you via email or phone to confirm the exact dimensions, carpet product, and color before processing your final order. This policy applies to carpet rolls as well.
