Originating from India, this handwoven rug features an elegant Oushak design with transitional style elements. The background of the rug is a striking denim color, complemented by a green border. The main color scheme predominantly includes shades of blue, creating a cool and calming aesthetic.

Crafted from wool on cotton, this rug showcases a high level of craftsmanship with approximately 40 knots per square inch. The production process includes a final washing and multiple finishing processes carried out in Jaipur. Chromiuim dyes are utilized for color accuracy, light fastness, and consistency, especially enhancing the antique finishing of these rugs.

Woven by skilled artisans contracted from various villages around Jaipur, including locations like Bikaner, this rug follows an asymmetrical Persian knotting technique unique to Rajasthan. The wool used in the rug is a blend of Ghazni wool imported from Afghanistan and South African wool, contributing to its durability and texture.

The intricate design of the rug features a blend of floral and geometric motifs, with a central medallion adorned with symmetrical floral patterns. The primary colors of blue, grey, and cream are complemented by hints of green and brown, adding depth and richness to the overall look.

The rug's borders are meticulously designed, with a main border showcasing a floral pattern in alternating blue and cream hues, while the inner border echoes simpler versions of the main motifs. The symmetrical layout of the rug along both horizontal and vertical axes creates a sense of balance and harmony. The dense pattern and closely packed motifs contribute to a visually textured and captivating appearance, making this rug a standout piece in any space.

Last fall, my husband and I purchased a gorgeous silk from you for our Boston Condo. Based on the quality of your rugs and customer service, we decided to visit you again to purchase rugs for our Connecticut home. Luckily, we received your postcard about the tent sale and came home with two more stunning rugs.

I can't say enough good things about this store, especially Susanne and Breanna. I shop at many rug places as I am an interior designer looking for very specific rugs all the time. No one out there compares to this store and their wonderful Sales associates. Thank you Susanne and Breanna for all your help!

Over the past year we purchased three rugs, as well as carpet from L&A. Our experience could not have been more positive and we love what we purchased.

In addition, every single person
in the showroom was beyond helpful, knowledgeable and kind. It was truly a pleasure. Thank you!
