After being brought to the western side of Afghanistan, the raw Ghazni wool is hand carted and spun into carpet yarn, ready to be transformed into a work of art.

The weaving process takes place on traditional floor looms in the weavers' own homes, emphasizing the cottage industry type production. By utilizing the asymmetrical "Persian" knot type and implementing a cotton warp and weft, this rug achieves optimal durability.
