Crafted by skilled ethnic Turkmen weavers, predominantly from the Esari Subtribe, this rug is made from high-quality wool sourced from the local sheep of the Ghazni Province. These sheep thrive in the mountainous terrain, yielding longer staple, oily wool that is ideal for weaving carpets.

The wool is then transported to the western side of Afghanistan, near Herat, where it undergoes the meticulous process of hand carding and spinning into carpet yarn.
